Many people questioned e-cigarettes: As a substitute for cigarettes, is it really safe?

Dr. Mark Travers of the Roseville Park Cancer Institute has been doing research on air quality in public places, and his experiments can provide important data for smoking bans. Dr. Travers' sensitive air-detecting equipment can precisely count the substances the volunteers smoked and vaped in the room.

The results were astonishing, e-cigarettes released 99% less substance than cigarettes! Because harmful substances are produced during the combustion process. E-cigarettes are nicotine vapors, which do not produce a lot of harmful substances without combustion.

In addition, the scientists also conducted experiments on the effects of cigarettes and e-cigarettes on human cells: testing the effects of both on injured cells.

Normal cells heal automatically after injury. The results showed that e-cigarettes had little effect on the healing of cells; while cigarettes made cells black and unable to heal, which could easily cause vascular disease in humans.
